This policy explains what personal information JM Consultants (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website, our consultancy services, and our CaseFlow client management system (the “System”), which we use to manage student and client applications.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, nationality, education and work history, passport and other documents needed for your application, and messages you send us.
- Information created while we help you: application status, tasks, notes, appointments, invoices and payment records.
- Website and form data: details you enter in our website forms (for example the “Apply Now” form) and basic technical data such as browser type and IP address.
2. How we use your information
- To assess your enquiry, prepare and manage your application, and communicate with you.
- To send you emails about your case, such as status updates, document requests and appointment reminders.
- To schedule and manage appointments.
- To keep records, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Google user data
Our System can connect to a Google account owned by JM Consultants (for example jmconsultants.pk@gmail.com) to:
- Send email (Gmail): send emails to our clients and applicants, such as case updates and replies, from our business account.
- Manage calendar events (Google Calendar): create and update appointments with clients.
We access this Google data only to provide these features to JM Consultants. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide these features, to comply with law, or with your consent. Our staff do not read Google account data except to operate these features, for security, or where the law requires.
JM Consultants’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Access tokens for the connected Google account are stored encrypted. The account holder can disconnect Google at any time in the System settings, or revoke access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
4. Sharing your information
We share information only when needed to provide our services, for example with universities, colleges, embassies, visa authorities, or partner institutes you have asked us to apply to, and with service providers who host or support our systems under confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law.
5. Storage and security
Information is stored on secured servers with access limited to authorised staff. Passwords and connection credentials are protected, and we use encryption for sensitive credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
6. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal and record-keeping requirements, and then delete or anonymise it.
7. Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you certain messages, by emailing info@jmconsultants.pk. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any records we must legally keep.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version.
